This group is dedicated to questioning the role of the current Law and Justice System and their interaction with the demands of social movements. It aims to make proposals for a Legal Education related to a Public University, Popular and socially referenced. It seeks to generate useful knowledge for social transformation, the fight against oppression and the formation of a jurist critical of the exploitation of man by man. It will produce an intervention project in the nearby society, either through an AJUP, or through the curricular establishment of an engaged and innovative Legal Practice Center.

The WG - Justice and Rights Education System met for the first time on 21 / 10 / 11 at 16: 30 at UFRJ to discuss the relationship between law schools and the Justice System. We draw the conclusion that the institutions that train law enforcers are also included as indispensable elements in the set of measures to be aimed at democratizing the justice system and expanding access to justice. We discuss the marketing perspective and the privatistic appropriation of legal knowledge that tends to strengthen the logic of preparatory courses for competitions to the detriment of the teaching provided by law schools. The democratization of the justice system runs through criticism of the idealistic and abstract dogmatic and public tenders that take into account the critical knowledge, social reality and demands of popular social movements.

We point out that research in law should be fostered with the undergraduate and we understand that the nucleus of legal practice should not be relegated to the background due to the attractive remuneration provided by external internships. The law school should concentrate all the necessary training for the young lawyer for any area of interest and should be valued accordingly. In short, it is necessary to recognize that the faculty of law is a mediate agency of the Justice System when it acts in the reproduction and ideological construction of the Law and immediate agency of the Justice System when it acts judicializing through its core practice.

As a result of the discussions and debates that took place during the year of 2011, several WG EDUCATION PROPOSALS FOR RIGHTS, which were part of the Justice Forum - Rio de Janeiro Pact, the final document of the First General Meeting of the Justice Forum, which took place in December of 2011, at the State University of Rio de Janeiro.
