Memory GT Justice Forum Deprived People

The main objective of the Justice Forum is to discuss forms of democratization of the justice system in the axis of democracy, with the human rights paradigm and, mainly, the focus on justice as a public service. In this line, the present working group aims to discuss data and diagnoses related to the treatment given by the justice system to prisoners, provisional or definitive, mentally ill inmates in judicial asylums and other people whose vulnerability resides in deprivation of liberty. This debate has the purpose of establishing new action strategies to reach the transforming goals of this reality. It is also intended to verify if this system produces public policies aimed at this segment of the population, to note the existing good practices and to identify ways of inserting the point of view of social movements and civil society organizations in the formulation elaboration, monitoring and evaluation of these policies. Who has the power to influence this agenda?

These elements constitute the discussion proposal to be fostered in the aforementioned working group.
