The Justice Forum Race WG aims to discuss strategies for the restoration of violated rights of the black population, especially with regard to the consolidation of the rights of the black population and the implementation of various mechanisms, such as CERD Article 14, (CAO), Law No. 10.639, the Racial Equality Statute, the Declaration Guidelines and Durban Plan of Action, and the National Policy for the Promotion of Racial Equality. Seeking, therefore, the confrontation of institutionalized racism in the justice system and the social control of the judiciary.

As a result of the discussions and debates that took place during the year of 2011, several GT RACE proposals, which were part of the Justice Forum - Rio de Janeiro Pact, the final document of the First General Meeting of the Justice Forum, which took place in December of 2011, at the State University of Rio de Janeiro.

12.288 Law No. of 20 July 2010 - Art. 1º. This Act establishes the Racial Equality Statute, designed to guarantee the black population the realization of equal opportunities, the defense of individual, collective and diffuse ethnic rights and the fight against discrimination and other forms of ethnic intolerance.

10.639 Law, January 9 January 2003 - Amends the Law on 9.394 of 20 of December 1996, which establishes the guidelines and bases of national education, to include in the official curriculum of the Education Network the obligatory theme “African-Brazilian History and Culture”, and other measures. .
